In the province of Ouarzazate 190kms, south of Marrakech, stands the sumptuous Kasbah (fortified village) of Ait Benhaddou, ancient fortress and caravanserai, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is certainly, to this day, one of the most beautiful sites in Morocco …
In this natural and extraordinary setting of entanglement of crenellated towers and adobe constructions, it was made of many films (including the famous “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Gladiator”). Some families of craftsmen live there still in traditions and respect for ancestral heritage.
The visit to the Kasbah will take place after the crossing of the imposing chain of the High Atlas by the collar of Tizi n’tichka (2600m) and its vertiginous points of view and its picturesque Berber villages.
Our journey includes visiting the city of Ouarzazate with:
-The Kasbah of Taourirt, without doubt the most beautiful in Morocco …, which was also one of the residences of the powerful family of Pacha El Glaoui.
-And for moviegoers … eventual visit to movie studios .. !! (depending on the possibility depending on the shoots)
